Privacy policy

Mr Fix connects customers with technicians (plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, appliances and more). This policy explains what data we collect, why, who can see it, and how to delete it.
Data we collect
- Account details: name, email, phone number (and an optional second number), password (stored hashed), country and region, address, and your profile photo if you add one.
- For technicians: specialty and services, years of experience, number of jobs, a short bio, working hours, and ID card photos (front and back) and a selfie for identity verification.
- Orders and reviews: the orders you make or receive, their times and prices, and ratings and comments.
- Chats: messages, photos, videos and voice messages, and your location if you choose to send it in a chat.
- Device data: a notification token (Firebase) so we can notify you about orders and messages.
We do not collect your location in the background, and we use the camera, microphone or photos only when you choose to upload a photo or record a voice message.
How we use it
- To create your account, sign you in and verify your email.
- To show suitable technicians in your country and region, and to run orders and chats.
- To verify technicians' identity so customers know who is coming to their home.
- To send notifications and emails about your account and orders.
- To protect the app from abuse and review reports.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who can see your data
- App users: a technician's profile (name, photo, specialty, experience, bio, ratings and phone number) is visible to customers so they can contact them.
- ID card photo (front only): visible only to customers who have an order with that technician. The back of the card and the selfie are seen only by our review team.
- The other side of an order or chat: sees your name, photo, the messages and the order between you.
- The Mr Fix team: reviews verification requests, orders and reports from the admin panel.
- Service providers: hosting, our email server, and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications. They use the data only to provide these services.
- We may disclose data when required by law.
Security
All traffic between the app and our server is encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are stored hashed, and ID photos and chats are available only to those allowed to see them.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account exists. You can edit your details from your profile at any time, and delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete account) or on the account deletion page. Deletion removes the account and all data linked to it immediately and permanently.
Children
The app is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect children's data.
Changes
If we change this policy we will publish the new version here and update the date above.
